A sector that is growing rapidly throughout Europe, with Italian excellence and a market worth more than 4 billion euros: corrugated cardboard will be among the main protagonists of Print4All 2025.

The corrugated cardboard sector is experiencing a moment of great dynamism across Europe. With a constant growth trend that sees Italy stand out among the major producers in this sector. According to the latest GIFCO data, the Italian market, with a value of over 4 billion euros and a production of almost 8 billion square metres in 2023, is the second European market appreciated worldwide for the quality and technological level of the offer.

At Print4All 2025 (Fiera Milano, 27-30 May), this excellence will be showcased and promoted through the Corrugated Experience, an immersive, dynamic and educational journey that will highlight the innovations and infinite potential of a material that, through sustainability, innovation and design, is reshaping the future of primary and secondary packaging.

A unique opportunity to discover what’s on offer from the most important European and high level of Made in Italy producers, with Italy today leading the world ranking of corrugated cardboard exporting countries, with exports that have doubled in the last 10 years (over 100 million euros in 2023) and a forecast of constant growth until 2026.

Several phenomena are driving this trend. The growth driver is undoubtedly the expansion of e-commerce, a sales channel that requires resistant packaging that can be easily and safely transported, but the increase in demand from the retail sector is also fundamental, with the consequent drive for innovation that leads to the management of materials with an increasing focus on design and customisation offered by printing technologies. Another lever for growth is the demand for increasingly sustainable packaging, driven by the latest European regulations, which opens up new development opportunities for corrugated board that respects all the 3R principles (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse) in terms of environmental impact.

In this scenario, the development of the Corrugated Experience becomes one of the pillars of Print4All 2025, a strategic focus born to give voice and value to a market segment of undeniable relevance and to the entire transformation chain. Thanks also to the collaboration with the association of transformers represented by GIFCO, Corrugated Experience will be a point of reference and aggregation in which to discover applications and learn about the main trends in efficiency, sustainability and innovative materials for the entire supply chain of producers, transformers and brand owners. It will not be simply a vertical section of the exhibition, but a real themed path, a representational map that will take in every stage of the process, from the first pre-press stages to the finished product. At the exhibition, it will be possible to follow an ideal "tour", discovering companies with a long experience and advanced technology, which will tell the story of corrugated cardboard, from its production to its transformation and printing. An engaging and rich experience that focuses on the analysis of the production process and the innovation of the printing experience, becoming a showcase for technological solutions that can adapt to changes and market demands through insights and new opportunities.

Print4All 2025 has already confirmed the participation of major players in the sector, suppliers of machinery and equipment for the production and processing of corrugated cardboard, who will add their valuable contribution to the content of the Corrugated Experience: Esko, Forgraf, Fosber, Koenig & Bauer, La Sorgente (member of the Siegwerk Group), Li Shenq Machinery, New Aerodinamica, Pacfort GmbH, Petratto, RE, Sei Laser, Simec Group, Tesa and Uteco.
